Chinaway

Chinaway is a niche travel agency specialising in authentic trips across China: cultural routes, destinations off the beaten track and experiences built to discover “the real China”. A trilingual site — Spanish, English and Chinese — made for travellers looking for something different.

The challenge

As a niche agency, many details of the site had to land exactly as the client asked: everything in its place, with its nuances. And one key requirement: since the trips, departures and offers change every year, they needed to adjust it all — text, images, itineraries, prices — on their own, without depending on us and without understanding code.

A custom site, tuned to the detail

We worked with full flexibility on every client request until the site was exactly as they wanted it. We designed an interactive map of China to explore destinations province by province, trip pages with day-by-day itineraries, prices, upcoming departures and express offers, and an online booking and enquiry system. All trilingual (ES/EN/中文) from day one.

A backend to manage everything, with no code

The key piece: we built them a custom backend from which their own team manages all the content — destinations, tours, itineraries, departures, bookings, enquiries, blog articles and reviews — plus the media library and the site's global settings. They can change text and images in all three languages and refresh the trip catalogue every season on their own, without writing a single line of code or depending on the agency.

Results

Chinaway has a site that reflects exactly what they asked for, down to the detail, and a fully self-sufficient team: every year they refresh the trips, departures and content in three languages on their own, without waiting for anyone. Custom flexibility today and the independence to keep it alive tomorrow.
